<THEN AND NOW>

The podcast title (Then and Now) reflects the relationship between today's events with the history forces from the past. I produced the podcast with students in my college history course. Now I post episodes that share connections between today’s headlines with past events. I also share information about the history simulations that I and others developed to engage students through placing them into roles.

<Tech Testing lab>

This podcast is a place where I share new technologies that can be used in the classroom or distance learning. I am a technology enthusiast who found ways to incorporate learning technologies into my college global history course over a span of four decades. Thoughtfully-used technology can be such a great way to engage students with the academic subject matter and to involve them in the production of media. Podcasting was introduced into my global history course in 2006 by the students. They were the ones who encouraged the creation of a podcast to accompany the course.

Podcasts Under Development

<educator stories: the lessons learned>

Educators share stories of what they learned: lessons shared so others can repeat the successes and avoid the failures. The only thing worse than some of our experiences is not sharing stories so others avoid them. Think of these conversations as those in the hallways at a conference or a coffee shop with a colleague.
