Annimated Bible Stories
If you know much about me, you know of my love of animation. I grew up in the “golden era” of cartoons on television. I remember the first opera that I ever heard. The “Rabbit of Seville” featured Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd. The music and storyline came right from the classic opera, “The Barber of Seville.” I think my love of opera comes from that childhood experience. I remember the classic Disney animated movie, “Fantasia“. I think my lifelong love of classical music was spawned by the movie soundtrack that featured Beethoven and a symphony by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky. Classical music was often featured in the early cartoons. I remember the fundamentals of democracy from ABC’s afterschool series, School House Rock! and the episode on how a bill goes through Congress. My love of animation continues with my love of all the Pixar movies. I especially love Up! Maybe it is because I was a Boy Scout.
This has been a long introduction to explain why I enjoy the Bible Project's animated videos. They can map out the outline for complicated Bible stories and Christian concepts in just a few minutes. I am more likely to remember things if I also see them graphically. Check out their website. <bibleproject.com> Following are links to various collections of the animated videos.
